FMCSA-registered ELD devices, installation and support.

ELD Devices & Service: common questions

How do I know an ELD is compliant?

Choose a device listed on FMCSA's registered ELD list, and check that list again before renewing. If a device is revoked, FMCSA gives carriers a limited window to switch to a compliant one.

Does my truck need an ELD?

Most drivers who must keep records of duty status need an FMCSA-registered ELD. Common exceptions include short-haul drivers using the time-card exception, drivers who keep paper logs 8 days or fewer in any 30-day period, and trucks with engines older than model year 2000.
